Meeting Place: Public Carpark inside Western Park Reserve -which is accessible from 214 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa. You will see the Estuary Arts Centre here and toilets and skate park. See photo below-look out for Club flag at the carpark entrance.
Route: This walk follows the Orewa Estuary walkway around the water's edge of the estuary. Please note it is a shared walkway and cycleway. It is a wide path mainly flat and sealed and suitable for all fitness levels. Very pretty views and lots of bird wildlife to see.
Directions: Follow SH1 to Silverdale. Use the left 2 lanes to take exit 398 toward Hibiscus Coast Highway. At the roundabout take 3rd exit for hibiscus Coast Hway and drive 4.7kms then turn left into Western Reserve carpark just after bridge.
Walk Time: Approximately 60 minutes.
On leash/Off leash: This is an on-leash area at all times.
Cup of Tea anyone? Please stay and socialize after the walk - you will meet other beagle owners and it's lovely for the beagles who love a good pack party! The club will be providing free morning tea for members. Non-members- koha gold coin donation.
