Beagle Walk - Highbrook Park, East Tamaki - Sunday, 22 June 2025

Meeting Place: Public Carpark on Highbrook Drive which is at the northern end of the park (see photo below) and there’s a Z Service Station on the opposite side of the road. Look out for the Club Flag which will be at the entrance to the carpark.

Route: This walk winds along the shores of the Tamaki River and is a scenic green sanctuary behind an industrial area in East Tamaki. It includes 42 hectares of parkland and home to lots of birdlife such as kingfisher, heron and pied stilts. It is a mainly gravel path and a reasonably easy walk.

Directions: Follow SH1 (southern motorway) and take exit 443 for Highbrook. From North keep left and take the first exit and from South take the second exit to Highbrook Drive.

Walk Time: Approximately 45 minutes.

On leash/Off leash: This is an on-leash area at all times.

Cup of Tea anyone? Please stay and socialize after the walk - you will meet other beagle owners and it’s lovely for the beagles who love a good pack party! The club will be providing free morning tea for members. Non-members- koha gold coin donation.

Remember: It is advisable not to leave any valuables in vehicles, and to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for poor weather conditions and off road walking.
