Beagle Walk - Dingle Dell Reserve, St Heliers - Sunday, 3 December 2023

Please note-Important Traffic Update

On the day the waterfront (Tamaki Drive) from Mission bay to Long Drive will be closed for the Iron man event. This Shouldn't impact parking as the St Heliers end is the turn around part for the athletes (main event site is Mission Bay)

Make sure you drive to the walk via GI/Meadowbank/Stonefields/Orakai to St Heliers Bay Road. Then join Tamaki drive from the bottom of the hill (turn left) then the left onto the Parade after Vellowth Green where the two Moreton bay fig trees shade the road.

Meeting Place: Car park meeting area is around the vicinity at the end of The Parade where it meets Fern Glen Rd North. You will have to park on the road. Look out for the Auckland Beagle Club flag. There are toilets inside the park. PLEASE NOTE- WE GO RAIN HAIL OR SHINE!

Route: Dingle Dell is a magical place. It is sometimes described as the Cinderella of Auckland Parks as its often overlooked. It’s a peaceful relaxed walk in the bush - great for summer- and there is a large open space with a playground and picnic area. Please make sure you stay on the tracks to protect the healthy kauri in the park. The paths are mainly gravel or dirt and there are steps so an average level of fitness is required.

Directions: From Tamaki Drive, turn right into the Parade and when it turns into Dingle Rd, turn right into Fern Glen Rd N. Look for the Club Flag and park as close as you can on the road.

Walk Time: Approximately 40- 50 minutes.
