Bring a picnic and some drinks to enjoy during and after the walk.
We will head along the Esplanade and cross Curran Street up to Point Erin Park.
Crossing the park we come down to the St Mary’s Bay Walkway and walk along as far as the Jacob’s Ladder Footbridge to cross the motorway. We then join the recently opened Westhaven Promenade which takes us back to the carpark.
The walk takes around 1 hour and is very easy with good paths. There is only 1 set of steps (30 steps) that we will have to come down.
This is an on lead walk with toilets and a dog watering bowl near the carpark.
The old “Sitting Duck Cafe” is due to reopen as “Buoy Cafe” on 7th July where we can relax after the walk.
Note: It is advisable not to leave any valuables in vehicles. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for poor weather conditions and off road walking; Beagle Walks go ahead rain or shine! Remember to bring poo bags for your dogs.
