Beagle Walk – Sun 11th August 2019 – Omana Regional Park, Maraetai

Location: Omana Regional Park, Maraetai
Date: Sunday the 11th August 2019
Time: 9.45am for a 10am start
Meeting Place: Car Park off Omana Beach Road

Parking: Carpark for the reserve or on Meola Road

Meeting Place: Car Park off Omana Beach Road. Look out for the Auckland Beagle Club flag.

Route: The walk is a mostly flat concrete path with a gravel/dirt / grass portion at the end. There are toilets and a children’s play area.

Directions: From Auckland CBD, head south on Southern Motorway and take the Otara off ramp. Turn left onto East Tamaki Rd and follow Ormiston & Sandstone Rds to Whitford. From here, take the Whitford-Maraetai Road. The park is located on the left just before you enter the Maraetai Township. Enter the car park off Omana Beach Road. Turn left before going toward the beach.

Walk Time: Approximately 45 minutes.

On leash/Off leash: There is on lead.

Cup of Tea anyone? Can I please encourage you all to stay and socialize after the walk? The club will be providing free morning tea for members. Non-members welcome to join, koha donation.

Remember: It is advisable not to leave any valuables in vehicles, and to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for poor weather conditions and off road walking.
Don’t forget to take water and poo bags for your dogs.

Non members are welcome to attend up to three of our beagle walks, after that, we would love for you to become a member. Membership costs from $15 per year and includes benefits such as a catered fun day in December, snacks and drinks after some of the walks, and a regular newsletter.

Please always bring doggy doo bags and leads.
